WHAT IS PET? it is an acronym for polyethylene terephthalate, which is a long-chain polymer belonging to the generic family of polyesters. PET is formed from the intermediates, terephthalic acid (TPA) and ethylene glycol (EG), which are both derived from oil feedstock.
